Richland Chambers Wetlands
The wetlands project is located in mitigation lands known as the Richland Creek Wildlife Management area. The aim of this project is to provide high quality water for human consumption, and to promote the maintenance and enhancement of riverine wetlands and their associated wildlife resources. Tarrant Regional Water District will divert water from the Trinity River, treat it in constructed wetland water treatment units and store it in Richland-Chambers and Cedar Creek Reservoirs for future use by the Water District. Additional stages of the project will consist of constructing approximately 1,229 acres of treatment wetlands
